| Abstract | This article examines the specific features of providing integrated social services in the contemporary context of Ukrainian communities, with particular attention to the impact of social, economic, and wartime challenges on the organization of support for families and children. The study summarizes the conceptual foundations of the integrated approach, which combines resources from the social protection system, education, health care, and community-based institutions. A central focus is placed on the transformation of the institutional landscape, including the expansion of multidisciplinary teams, the introduction of early intervention services, and the development of coordinated case management practices aimed at improving the continuity and effectiveness of support. The article outlines the role of local self-government in shaping service delivery, highlighting the importance of community-level coordination, unified entry points, and the creation of individualized support plans. It also analyses the contributions of national reforms and international initiatives led by UNICEF, which have promoted the introduction of integrated child- and family-oriented services, strengthened interagency cooperation, and supported capacity-building among practitioners. The implementation of these models demonstrates that integration reduces service fragmentation, ensures more accurate identification of needs, and improves access to essential social, psychological, educational, and medical services. At the same time, the article identifies key challenges that hinder the full realization of integrated service systems: uneven community capacities, shortages of trained personnel, limited financial resources, the overburdening of social workers, and the lack of digital compatibility between information systems. These barriers highlight the need for comprehensive policy measures to enhance professional training, expand preventive services, digitalize case management, and establish stable funding mechanisms. Overall, the findings indicate that integrated social services form an effective and future-oriented model of social support in Ukraine. By ensuring coordinated action among various sectors and focusing on the individual needs of recipients, the integrated approach strengthens community resilience, improves service quality, and contributes to higher levels of social well-being and protection in times of instability. | ||
