Manuscript Formatting and Submission Requirements

Articles are accepted for publication from holders of doctoral and candidate of sciences degrees, early-career researchers, as well as other individuals who hold a higher education qualification and are engaged in scholarly activity. Articles prepared by students are published only when co-authored with a scholar holding an academic degree. The article must address a topical issue, contain the results of scholarly research, present novelty and substantiate scholarly conclusions in accordance with the aim of the article (the defined objective).

Manuscript Formatting Requirements

Language: Ukrainian, English. Each article written in Ukrainian must be accompanied by an extended abstract in English of at least 1,800 characters with keywords.

The article must contain the following structural elements: UDC index (in the upper left corner of the page); article title (in the language of the article and in English); surname and initials of the author(s), academic degree, academic title, place of work or study (in Ukrainian and English); ORCID must be provided (if the author is not registered in ORCID, an account must be created at http://orcid.org/) for the author(s); abstracts and keywords; article text; list of references and "References".

The translation must be professional, without the use of online translators; otherwise, the article will be returned!

 

The structure of the scholarly article must contain the following mandatory elements:

Introduction – a description of the problem being analysed in general terms and its connection to important scientific or practical tasks.

Literature Review – formulation of the problem in general terms and its connection to important scholarly or practical tasks; a mandatory analysis of recent research and publications that have initiated the resolution of the scientific problem and upon which the author relies; identification of previously unresolved aspects of the general problem addressed in the article; formulation of the aim (statement of the objective).

Research Methodology – justification of the chosen research direction, description of the methods used and the overall methodology of its conduct (briefly and substantively, indicating what was studied and by what methods). In theoretical works, the methods of calculation and hypotheses under consideration are presented; length: 5–10 lines. If artificial intelligence was used in the research process, its application must be described in detail in this section, specifying the name of the tool, version, date of use and specific queries.

Example of describing the use of artificial intelligence (choose one of the options):

  • - the authors confirm that no artificial intelligence technologies were used in the creation of this work.
  • - in the creation of this work, the authors used artificial intelligence technologies for... (briefly describe the areas of application and which tools (name, version) were used and for what purpose). The author(s) may use the GAIDeT Declaration Generator to properly disclose the use of generative AI. After use, the author(s) processed and edited the text and bear full responsibility for the content of the publication.

Results – presentation of the main research material with full substantiation of the obtained scholarly results; where necessary – tabular or graphical material with the results of statistical analysis, without which articles are not considered. The section concludes with evidence-based recommendations derived from the results obtained.

Conclusions – the conclusion presents the findings of the research conducted and briefly outlines the prospects for further investigation in this area; the qualitative and quantitative indicators of the results obtained should be emphasised, the reliability of the results substantiated, and recommendations for their use provided; length: 5–10 lines.

Or, if there is only one author: The author fully conducted the research, wrote and edited the text.

Funding – if applicable, indicate the relevant research programmes, grants, fellowships, contracts and/or organisations that provided financial support for the research. If none, state the absence of funding sources.

Acknowledgements – an optional element that may contain thanks to specific individuals and/or organisations for ideas, constructive comments, technical assistance, etc.

Conflict of Interest – a declaration or statement of absence. In the absence of a conflict of interest, the section should state: “The author(s) declare(s) that no conflict of interest exists regarding the research results and the publication of this article.” If a conflict exists, the authors are obliged to make an appropriate declaration.

References – references to sources of materials, factual and statistical data used are mandatory (presented in the text in the order of mention as a number in square brackets). References in the “Literature Review” section are mandatory.

The list of references is formatted in accordance with the interstate standard DSTU 8302:2015 “Information and Documentation. Bibliographic Reference. General Requirements and Rules of Compilation”. Sources in English must be described according to international rules. References – the same sources but in English, formatted according to the APA-2010 international bibliographic standard. For transliteration of Ukrainian text, the following service may be used: https://ukrlit.org/transliteratsiia. The reference list must contain a minimum of 15 sources for an original research article (30 for a review/theoretical article), of which at least 25% must be foreign-language sources.

 

ATTENTION!

At least 50% of the bibliography must have been published within the last 5 years.

No more than 5% of the bibliography may consist of the authors’ own publications.

No more than 20% of the bibliography may consist of monographs, dissertations and dissertation abstracts.

References to textbooks and popular science literature are not permitted.

The number of sources without DOI indices should be minimal!

 

Each source in the References list must include a DOI, PubMed link or a link to the article file.

It is prohibited to cite or include in bibliographic lists any sources published in the russian language in any country, as well as sources in other languages if they are published in the territory of russia or belarus.

 

Technical Requirements for the File

Article length: 8 to 20 pages, A4 format (297 × 210 mm), margins – 2 cm on all sides, typeset in Microsoft Word editor. The entire text of the article, bibliographic list, abstracts, etc. use Times New Roman font, size – 14 pt, spacing – single.

If the article contains tables, formulae and/or illustrations, they must be compact, have a title, and use Times New Roman font, size – 12 pt. The size of tables and illustrations must not exceed the page width. Mathematical formulae must be carefully checked and clearly displayed. Formulae must be typeset using the formula editor (the built-in formula editor in Microsoft Word for Windows). The number of tables, formulae and illustrations should be appropriate. Figures and tables on landscape pages are not accepted.

To Submit an Article, the Following Steps Must Be Completed:

  1. Complete the author information form (form).
  2. Send the article, formatted according to the stated requirements, and the author information to the email address zbirnykunu@ukr.net. If you do not receive a confirmation letter within more than 5 working days, please contact the editorial office using the contact details provided.
  3. Send a scanned receipt of payment of the author fee. Payment for publication is made after the article has been reviewed.

It is mandatory to send the receipt of payment of the author fee to the executive secretary’s email address.

After the manuscript has been submitted to the editorial board, changes to the authorship of the article are not permitted. The date of receipt of the manuscript is the date of its arrival at the editorial office. If a manuscript that does not comply with the established requirements is received, the editorial board reserves the right not to consider such material, and the authors are notified accordingly.

 

ATTENTION! No more than one article by the same author (co-author) may be published in a single issue of the publication.
