Abstract The article examines the theoretical, methodological, and applied aspects of bank lending for export-import operations and its impact on the formation of the resource potential of agricultural enterprises in the context of modern economic transformations. The essence of bank lending for export-import operations is revealed as an important instrument for financial support of foreign economic activity, which includes loans, documentary operations, trade finance, and risk insurance instruments. It is established that their use contributes to the continuity of production processes, increasing liquidity and reducing financial risks of enterprises. The dynamics of the foreign trade balance of Ukraine, which is characterized by a negative balance and increasing import dependence, especially in 2022–2025, are analyzed. It is substantiated that in such conditions, bank lending performs a compensatory function, providing financing for import resources and supporting exports. It is determined that the resource potential of agricultural enterprises is a multi-component system that includes financial, material, and technical, land and labor resources. It is proven that bank lending has both a direct impact on its formation (through financing of working capital and investments) and an indirect impact (through technological renewal and increasing competitiveness). The relationship between bank lending, the state of foreign trade, and the resource potential of agricultural enterprises, which determines their financial stability and competitiveness, is substantiated. It is established that digital financial technologies play an important role in the development of lending, which increases the transparency and availability of financial resources. Directions for improving credit provision for the agricultural sector are proposed, in particular, the development of specialized instruments, digitalization, strengthening state support, expanding international financing, and improving risk management. The practical significance of the results lies in the possibility of their use to increase the efficiency of bank lending and strengthen the resource potential of agricultural enterprises.
