Abstract The article explores the conceptual framework of outsourcing and its practical relevance to Ukraine’s agricultural sector. The analysis highlights that the limited effectiveness of alternative innovation deployment methods in agrarian production stems from a combination of systemic challenges. These include insufficient resource capacity, weak coordination between market actors and government institutions, fragmented business collaboration in innovation implementation, and shortcomings in the existing incentive environment ranging from legal uncertainties and ownership forms to enterprise scale and low institutional trust. The article argues that successful innovation in agriculture is strongly dependent on firm-level conditions, including the presence of well-functioning formal and informal organizational structures, developed internal markets, and business infrastructure. It also underscores the role of integrated frameworks shaped by innovation policy, scientific and technological advancement, and socio-economic dynamics. Particular attention is paid to the tangible benefits agricultural enterprises can derive from outsourcing namely, streamlined operational costs, access to external expertise and technology, and greater flexibility in managing production processes. At the same time, the research addresses the possible downsides of outsourcing, such as the risks tied to delegating core business functions to third-party providers. Among the main obstacles hindering the adoption of outsourcing practices in Ukraine is the lack of a clear legal definition, regulatory framework, and mechanisms for monitoring and accountability. In conclusion, the authors advocate for strategic investment in outsourcing as a workforce management tool in the agrarian sector. They call for a deliberate approach to integrated sourcing models and the development of holistic strategies that enhance the efficiency, adaptability, and long-term resilience of agribusiness enterprises.
