Abstract The article examines the organizational features of pet-friendly services in hotels and restaurants as a promising direction for the development of the hospitality industry. The study analyzes the dynamics of tourist flows in the European Union and Ukraine during the period 2019–2024, which made it possible to identify key trends in the recovery of tourism activity and the prerequisites for the formation of new segments of tourist demand. Particular attention is paid to the growing number of travelers who prefer to travel with their pets, which reflects changes in consumer behavior and the increasing role of pet-friendly services in modern tourism. The paper determines the approximate structure of tourists traveling with pets and substantiates the increasing importance of this segment in the context of the transformation of the tourism market. A comparative analysis of organizational measures for implementing pet-friendly services in hotels and restaurants is carried out, revealing a higher level of adaptation and systematization in the hotel sector compared to the restaurant sector, where implementation remains limited due to sanitary and regulatory constraints. In addition, a SWOT analysis of pet-friendly service organization in hospitality establishments is conducted, identifying key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The study also outlines the main risks associated with the implementation of such services and proposes practical approaches to their minimization, emphasizing that most risks can be effectively managed through a systematic organizational approach. Based on the results of the research, a conceptual model of pet-friendly service organization in hotels and restaurants is developed, integrating infrastructural, organizational, and managerial components. The findings of the study can be used to improve service practices for guests with pets, as well as to develop standardized approaches to pet-friendly services in Ukraine, taking into account European experience and best practices.
