Abstract | The hazelnut (Corylus domestica Kosenko et Opalko) is a garden form of avellane. It occupies the third place in the global output of nut-bearing crops after almonds and walnuts. It is an important crop because its kernel contains up to 58–72% of nondrying oil, 14–18 % of protein and 13–18 % of carbohydrates. The maximum yield of hazelnuts on average for three years of the research was formed by Dokhodnyi variety plants: it made up 448.0kg/ha. The minimum yield was formed by plants of Urozhainyi-80 variety (126.0kg/ha) and Grandioznyi variety (127.7kg/ha). There was a high content of oil (74.2–74.5%) in kernels of Grandioznyi variety, Funduk-85 variety and Urozhainyi-80 variety nuts; the minimal one was in kernels of Lozivskyi Urozhainyi variety – 67.3 %, that is 10 % less than the best variety’s result. The oil content in kernels of other hazelnut varieties varied from 68.2 % to 72.5 %. Also the rate of the oil content varied depending on weather conditions of research years, however, analyzed tendency remained similar. The maximum oil output from the hazelnut yield (197.1kg/ha) was got with Dokhodnyi variety cultivating. | ||
