Abstract | The article examines innovative strategies for the development of agribusiness in Ukraine in the post-war period, focusing on the key challenges of possible recovery of the industry in the context of post-conflict economic transformation. The pre-war problems of the agricultural sector (non-transparency of land relations; non-compliance with international quality and safety standards; low investment; non-adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU requirements; low level of innovation activity, etc.) were compounded by the crisis conditions of production during the war. In 2022–2024, the hostilities resulted in a decrease in the supply of agricultural machinery and land productivity; partial loss of storage and processing capacities for agricultural products; disruption of logistics; devastating impact of the energy crisis; and the country's economy suffering daily social and environmental damage. In this context, the development of innovative approaches becomes a necessary tool to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of agricultural production. Strategic development of agribusiness involves the use of technological innovations, such as digitalization, introduction of precision farming elements, robotization and process automation. Special attention is paid to the introduction of green technologies that ensure the greening of production and the rational use of natural resources. Innovative development should cover all stages of the food chain: from growing, processing, storing and transporting products to selling and distributing them. Based on international experience, the role of state support in stimulating investment for the restoration and modernization of the agricultural sector is considered, in particular by creating favorable conditions for attracting international donors, loans and grant programs. In addition, the article analyzes the importance of integrating Ukrainian agribusiness into global supply chains, which will help stabilize the economic situation and increase the country's export potential. The conclusions of the article emphasize the need for a comprehensive approach to the development of innovative strategies that will ensure long-term economic development and food security of Ukraine. The developed proposals should become the basis for the formation of an effective policy in the field of agribusiness in peacetime. | ||
