Abstract In today's world, digital solutions and innovative approaches are becoming an integral part of social security development. Digitalization makes services more accessible and efficient, providing quick and convenient access to social assistance, pensions, medical services and other social programs. The use of information technologies significantly improves process management and reduces the cost of their implementation. As a result, we can observe a global trend of digital transformation of social security systems, which includes not only the technological aspect but also structural changes aimed at improving the quality of life of the population. The role of innovations in this area is especially important in addressing the challenges posed by the growing demand for social services, the effects of population aging, and limited financial resources. Innovative approaches promote the integration of various aspects of social security, providing a better understanding of the needs of citizens, increasing the transparency of the system and the ability to respond quickly to changes. The main areas of digital innovation in social security include process automation, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for data analysis, mobile applications for accessing services, and expanding e-governance capabilities. The digitalization of modern society opens up new opportunities for effective social security. Thanks to the development of information technology, the introduction of innovative approaches and process automation, citizens have convenient access to social services, and government agencies can improve their quality by speeding up data processing and increasing the transparency of the system. In the context of the rapid changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of digital solutions has become even more apparent: mobile platforms, artificial intelligence, blockchain, telemedicine, and digital financial services are creating new conditions for the adaptation and integration of social programs. The continuous growth of the Internet audience allows for the provision of social services in real time, reducing the need for personal visits to institutions, which is especially important for citizens in remote regions. As a result, digital innovations are becoming more accessible to different segments of the population, making the social welfare system more efficient and inclusive. Thus, from 2019 to 2023, the share of Internet users in the total population increased by 8 % to 94 %. The frequency of Internet use is directly related to the age of users. Thus, digital innovations are the key to the effective development of the social security system, allowing governments to provide services at a new level. The prospects for further development in this area include the integration of the latest technologies, such as blockchain for personal data protection, and the development of personalized solutions that take into account the individual needs of citizens. Digital technologies enable government agencies to make social services more accessible and convenient, contributing to a better quality of life for citizens.
