Abstract The article considers the state support of the agricultural sector as an important element of Ukraine's economic and social policy necessary to ensure the stability, security and prosperity of the state. Under martial law, the agricultural sector of Ukraine faces unprecedented challenges that threaten its functioning and stability due to increased risks, in particular the destruction of infrastructure, crop losses, resource supply problems, the decline in agricultural production and associated job losses. I found that. Currently, it is determined that farmers are mainly using their own funds to raise money, which is irrational, both theoretically and practically. The modern reform of the native agro-industrial complex is aimed at creating a powerful mechanism for the implementation of agriculture, which is one of the main activities. This article characterizes the functions of state support for the agricultural sector of the Ukrainian economy and related financial support programs. State support programs for the agricultural sector may vary in scope, focus and specific measures. In 2024, state support programs for farmers are envisaged, including compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery, support for agricultural producers using landfills, support for farms, support for agricultural producers such as farms, soft loans through the 5-7-9 program, and support for small and medium-sized farmers plowing up to 500 hectares of land. Since the agricultural sector plays an important role in the economies of many countries, including Ukraine, strengthening state assistance programs for the development of agricultural enterprises and support for expansion contribute to the stability of this sector, stimulate investment and create jobs in rural areas.
