Abstract |
The results of three-year field researches on the effect of different methods of sowing and seeding rates on the field germination of seeds, productive tillering and survival of plants in sowings on millet seeds variety Omriyane. The aim is to improve the technology of cultivation of millet seeds in conditions of unstable moistening of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The obtained results revealed that weather conditions of the year of yield formation and the sowing parameters affect field germination of seeds, productive tillering and plants safety; wide-row sowing by 45 cm with a seeding rate of 2.5 million pcs./ha of germinated seeds promotes the highest level of field germination and productive tillering; greatest plants safety and the same seed production provided a sowing in a usual linear manner with the seeding rates 4.0 and 4.5 million pcs./ha of germinated seeds. |
