Abstract The spatial variability of the hardness of ordinary chernozem in the fields which are cultivated by the technologies of natural and traditional farming was investigated. The connection between chernozem penetration resistance profile formation and biological productivity of agrocnosises by normalized differential vegetation index (NDVI) was set. Practical recommendations for the manufacture on conducting local deep plowing of studied fields were given to optimize the physical properties of the soil.
Key words soil penetration resistance, normalized differential vegetation index, cluster analysis, natural farming
