Abstract This paper explores the complex aspects of the Ukrainian health insurance system, focusing on different forms of insurance and their impact on the availability and quality of health care. Both voluntary and mandatory insurance, as well as individual and corporate insurance types are studied. The main tasks of each type of insurance and their interaction with health care providers are examined. The challenges facing health insurance systems in the midst of economic crisis and military aggression are discussed. The differences between mandatory and voluntary insurance in the Ukrainian health care system are investigated. The essence of each type of insurance is analyzed and its principles and characteristics are highlighted. Insurance coverage, contracting procedures, and the economic and social consequences for the insured are clearly explained. The advantages and disadvantages of each type of insurance are highlighted, thus enabling the reader to understand the best choice of insurance according to the needs and capabilities of the insured. The article analyzes the financial performance, level of payments and customer satisfaction for each company. The rating is highlighted, which serves as a useful source for people who plan to purchase health insurance and want to choose the most effective service provider in the market. The author emphasizes the importance of developing and implementing modern information technologies to improve the accounting and processing of medical data, which will facilitate faster and more efficient resolution of insurance claims. It is noted that it is necessary to work actively to increase financial transparency and control over the use of funds, increasing the responsibility of insurers and ensuring an effective system of monitoring the quality of medical services. An important step, the authors determine, is to stimulate competition among insurance companies, which will lead to improved insurance products, lower service costs, and greater customer satisfaction. The authors suggest that when reforming the health insurance system, the focus should be on ensuring maximum coverage for the population, improving the quality of care, and creating a stable and efficient mechanism for financing the health insurance system.
