| Abstract | The paper examines aspects of the analysis of social insurance in Ukraine and evaluates the current status and prospects of its development. The author emphasizes the essence of the concept of social insurance and its importance as an important form of social protection of citizens, improvement of their welfare, and stimulation of the nation's socio-economic development. Particular attention is paid to the impact of the country's level of economic development on the social insurance system. It has been noted that the economic situation and military conflict in Ukraine have led to deterioration in the living standards of the population and increased social tensions. For this reason, the development of the social insurance system is one of the main activities of the country to ensure social protection of its citizens. The article analyzes the financial status of revenues and expenditures of the Social Insurance Fund for the period 2017-2022. It is noted that at the present stage of economic development, Ukraine has not created an effective social insurance system. Specific measures to improve the efficiency of Ukraine's social insurance system are also proposed. The authors emphasize the need to apply the best practices of developed countries in the area of social assistance, to ensure the financial sustainability of the system by balancing revenues and expenditures, and to establish minimum standards for social spending at the legislative level. Another important issue seen as important is to increase the transparency of the mechanisms for calculating social benefits and to increase public confidence in the social insurance system. Taking these aspects into account, the article calls for further reforms and implementation of necessary measures to improve the social insurance system in Ukraine. This will improve the social well-being of citizens and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country | ||
