| Abstract | The paper analyzes the features of Ukraine's social protection system. It explores the role, structure, and functional characteristics of the social protection system in the context of Ukrainian society. It addresses the various participants and components of the social protection system, including state social guarantees, social security, social insurance, and social assistance. The importance of institutional reforms implemented in recent years to improve the accessibility, efficiency, and level of social protection is highlighted. The financial challenges faced by the social protection system are discussed, along with the issue of unequal access to assistance by regions and social groups. The article focuses on the social protection system in Ukraine as an important element of the state's socio-economic policy. It is determined that the social protection system is a mechanism for ensuring social support and social security of citizens. The features of this system are formed, including social guarantees of the state, social security, social insurance and social assistance. The author highlights the need to improve the financial mechanism of the social system to achieve effective interaction and mutual influence of various components of social protection. In particular, the system of social insurance, social security, as well as social standards and guarantees provided by the state to the population. The author considers the problems faced by the social protection system in Ukraine, as well as the prospects for its development, which are of great importance for understanding this system, identifying gaps and improving social policy. The authors propose further development of Ukraine's social protection system to ensure the well-being of society and to protect and support the rights of all citizens, and emphasize the importance of continuing reforms and improving the operation of the system to achieve these goals. The authors of the paper believe that the development of an effective social protection system is a key task in building a socio-economic model for Ukraine. | ||
