| Abstract | The article examines the issue of methodical approaches to assessing the cluster potential of agricultural entities, the need to apply methodical approaches to clustering at the regional level. The development of clusters in the agricultural sector of the economy under modern conditions is perceived as the optimal form of agricultural production organization, which has a positive effect on innovative activity. Under these conditions, the most important task is to determine the cluster potential of the region. The article presents the essence of the cluster, the algorithm for assessing the cluster potential of the region's agrarian sector. With the development of market relations, cluster policy is an important tool capable of realizing all the competitive advantages of the agrarian sector of the region's economy, which is currently a complex system, a set of entrepreneurial structures of all organizational and legal forms of business. Clusters come in the form of network structures aimed at creating new values directly within the network and reducing transactional and economic costs of economic activity, complementing each other in production and sales chains or when implementing projects of an innovative nature. In view of this, the successful functioning of the cluster, as a rule, is ensured under the conditions of proper coordination of the activities of all its participants. The priority task of the coordination center is both the strengthening of existing and the design of new value chains through the use of hybrid forms of interaction capable of "crossing borders" and at the same time eliminating spatial and territorial factors. In EU countries with developed market relations, these institutions are often created with the participation of regional authorities. It is worth noting that the sustainability of clusters is ensured by existing active integrating companies that act as cluster leaders with existing knowledge and relevant skills of intra-cluster interaction. In view of this, the priority for the resolution is the problem of methodical and practical motivation of further methodical approaches to the assessment of the cluster potential of subjects of the agrarian industry of the region. Summarizing the above, it is worth noting that the cluster approach is an effective mechanism of regional development, as there is an opportunity to increase the economic development of the agrarian sphere of the regions, capable of ensuring the food security of the state, the production of agricultural products for their sale on foreign markets, the growth of close cooperation and healthy competition, labor productivity and production efficiency. For the scientific deepening of this problem, the article substantiates the methodical approaches of assessing the cluster potential of subjects of the agrarian industry of the region. The cluster approach makes it possible to form a system of regional development directions based on the existing potential of regional economic entities and to combine regional and industrial, innovative, scientific and technical, educational policies, to attract external and internal investments. | ||
