Abstract | This article is devoted to study of theoretical principles of green innovations of agricultural production in context of Ukraine's accession to European Green Route. The analysis of volume of funding for environmental protection measures revealed a generally positive trend for 2010–2020. However, the funds are directed mainly to current costs, rather than capital investment in introduction of environmentally friendly and resource-saving integrated technologies. Ukraine has a low level of environmental efficiency: according to the Environmental Performance Index for 2020, with a score of 49.9, the country ranks 60th place among 180 countries. Adaptation of Ukrainian agricultural production to the requirements of the European Green Route contains both potential opportunities and threats. Therefore, the government should provide effective programs to support greening and business structures must carry out technological modernization and implement an ecosystem approach to management, which should be based on the following factors: formation of sustainable competitive advantages, expanding sales geography, technological development, green innovations, reducing production costs and streamlining use of resources, weakening administrative control. To develop their own strategy of environmentally oriented management of domestic agricultural enterprises, it is advisable to use proposed sequence of development of environmental management system (according to the recommendations of the British standard BS 7750). We have substantiated the priority areas of greening in the context of adaptation of Ukrainian agricultural production to the environmental requirements of the European Green Course. Among them are the following: introduction of mechanisms to encourage the greening of agribusiness, as well as compensation for reimbursement; development of institutional, economic, technical and technological support for the greening of the agricultural sector; maintaining the quality of natural resource potential and conservation of agrarian ecosystems; introduction of soil-protective agriculture and science-intensive agrarian ecotechnologies; optimization of the burden on the environment of agricultural producers. Their systematic implementation will allow achieving the optimal ratio of environmental and economic indicators. | ||
