| Abstract | Horticulture is the traditional industry of agriculture of Ukraine, among the products of which the important place is occupied by berries. Unfortunately, the reduction in numbers of farm enterprises which are engaged in the production of berries is lately noted. The purpose of writing the article is the research of basic indexes of the condition of the production of berries in Ukraine at the present stage, identification of problems, preventing stable development of given industry in the regions, and also determination of reserves of its efficiency increasing for the future period in the contests of providing the population with high-quality, useful and delicious products. In the article the dialectical, retrospective and abstract-logical methods of research are used. The authors of the article consider the possibility of increasing of production of berries by means of intensification of the industry through introduction of highly productive varieties, intensive technologies of growing and storage of products etc., that will promote the increase of productivity of plants and providing of population demands in berries. | ||
