| Abstract | Assessing the level of development of the functioning of the Ukrainian job market provides for a comprehensive analysis of its main development indicators. Among the key areas of research, it is necessary to single out an analysis of the dynamics of the main indicators of economic activity, which involves assessing the actual change in levels, identifying trends and patterns in their development, etc. The purpose of the study is the development of theoretical and methodological principles for the formation and development of economic activity of the population of the regions of Ukraine, diagnostics of the level of its stimulation. The methodological and theoretical basis of the study is economic theory, scientific developments of domestic and foreign scientists in the development of the regional labor market, employment of the population and the development of its economic activity. When conducting the research, the following methods were used: comparison method, statistical-economic, abstract-logical, statistical, empirical and graphical methods. The priorities of the state’s national policy regarding the stimulation of the economic activity of the population, in particular through the introduction of an effective pension reform, which would ensure an increase in budget revenues and trust funds, the withdrawal of wages from the shadow sector of the economy, and stimulation of the economically active population by increasing official wages, have been identified , increasing the level of employment, as well as the development of the labor market, etc. It has been established that state support should be aimed at increasing employment productivity, increasing the competitiveness of labor potential and reducing unemployment. At the same time, a comprehensive assessment of stimulating economic activity on the part of workers, employers and the state is gaining importance in order to introduce a policy for developing the job market that would not contradict the needs of all participants in this process. The group and integral indices of assessing the stimulation of the economic activity of the population by the regions of Ukraine for 2014-2017 are studied. The results revealed that in two regions there is a low level of assessment of stimulation of economic activity, in particular in the Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhya regions. Moreover, a high level of this indicator was noted in Zhytomyr, Vinnitsa, Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne regions. The measures of stimulating the economic activity of the population depending on the level of the integral index by regions are substantiated. | ||
